Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the Yucatán Peninsula coast. The island is some 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) long and 650 metres (2,130 ft) wide. To the east is the Caribbean Sea with a strong surf and rocky coast, and to the west the skyline of Cancún can be seen across the clear waters. In the 2010 census, the namesake town on the island had a population of 12,642 inhabitants. The island is part of the Isla Mujeres Municipality in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Once a small fishing village, Isla Mujeres (meaning "Island of Women"), has become a favourite for travellers seeking natural beauty, island serenity and a slower pace of life—all without compromising its cultural traditions. It's a holiday destination known for beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs.
Trip Designs coordinated all travel arrangements for my daughter’s synchronized swimming team’s trip to Belgrade, Serbia for a competition. Trip Designs came highly recommended from a friend, who has used them for many, many years. Their team saved us lots of time and hassle of organizing the group travel for our athletes, coaches and parents accommodating everyone’s itineraries and specific needs. The booking process went very smoothly and we received all of our travel documents without incident. Trip Designs team went above and beyond in customer service and in getting us the best deal. We continue to use them for our international travel.
